Yellow Farmhouse Education Center, based on Stone Acres Farm in Stonington, CT, uses culinary and farm-based education to connect people to each other and to where their food comes from so that we can cultivate a shared commitment to supporting a local, sustainable food system accessible and affordable to all. They host hands-on school field trips for groups from PreK through high school that illustrate the environmental and nutritional benefits of regenerative farming. They have a Farmer Speaker Network that facilitates bringing local farmers into classrooms to talk about their work. And they offer a robust collection of curricular resources on their Farm to Culinary Classroom website that support high school culinary instruction with an environmental perspective.
