Local Environmental Modeling for High School Students

Exciting news! Free resources for educators!

RIEEA has created a series of engaging lessons to boost environmental literacy and workforce readiness for Rhode Island high school students.

The four hands-on units mix classroom learning, outdoor experiences, and use of iPlan, a free educational online tool that allows students to explore and solve real-world land-use challenges!

The units are focused on:

  • Ecology and Human Geography
  • Land Conservation
  • Sustainability
  • Community Development and Water Systems

Aligned with state standards and tested in high schools around the state, these lessons complement and enhance your curriculum, or can be used on their own in both formal and nonformal settings.
