Rhode Island Environmental
Education Association

Environmental Education Awards

Each year, RIEEA recognizes educators, youth, organizations, and schools across Rhode Island who demonstrate leadership, innovation, and dedication to help their communities learn about the environment and engage in outdoor learning and recreation. Nominations are solicited from the community each summer and we celebrate the winners in the fall.

Maggie Lauder, Student/Youth of the Year
Wild Lives, Organization of the Year

We had a lovely time recognizing and celebrating these amazing folks at the Save The Bay Center on Thursday, October 5, 2023. There was delicious food by More Than A Meal; tasty beverages donated by Newport Vineyards, Long Live Beerworks, The Granny Squibb Company, and Belmont Market; beautiful music performed by Jen Long/The Whale Guitar and Avi Jacob; and exquisite flowers from What Cheer Flower Farm – not to mention lots of laughter, loads of inpsiration, and a more than a few tears of joy.

Nominations for next year’s EE Awards will be posted in mid-2024!
