Buttonwood Park Zoo is a small facility located in New Bedford, MA, accredited by the Association of Zoos and Aquariums (AZA). Every visit is a unique experience. Visitors can expect to see and learn about species from a range of global habitats and to enjoy amenities like the Bear’s Den Cafe, Charlie’s Nature Play, train, and carousel. BPZOO also offers year-round education programming for children and families, as well as specialized seasonal events for adults. Many programs feature Animal Ambassador encounters or demonstrations on the Science on a Sphere, a unique data visualization technology developed by NOAA.
