The Rhode Island Mycological Society (RIMS) creates opportunities for people of all ages to learn about the living things around them. Through walks, workshops, talks, family programs, and hands-on learning, they blend science, art, creativity, and observation to help people connect with nature and one another. Their work welcomes different ways of seeing and encourages curiosity and care for fungi, which are everywhere but often overlooked in education, conservation, and food systems. By helping people notice, know, and grow fungi, RIMS supports ecological understanding, food security, and connection to place.
