Meet RIEEA board member Stacy Couto!
Stacy is a strategy consultant and an accomplished senior-level nonprofit professional with 25+ years of experience in fund development, leadership, marketing and communications, and grant management. She has held leadership positions at education and environmental organizations throughout her career and is currently with Fio Partners, LLC, based in Chester, CT. She spends her time supporting nonprofits and municipalities throughout New England. Her love of the ocean and all things outdoors fuels her continued work in the environmental world.

What’s your favorite outdoor place in Rhode Island, and why?
Any beach, any time of year! Lincoln Woods – living in Providence, it’s just 10 minutes away, offering a good hike, ride, or snowshoe through the woods, all within minutes of the city.
How did you get involved in the environmental field?
After working for an international education nonprofit, I was eager to have a local impact and support missions that mattered to me.
Why did you become a RIEEA board member?
Through the best of lifelong friends! I appreciate the idea of continuing the legacy of the amazing work done by these remarkable human beings!
What are you most looking forward to in serving on the RIEEA board?
Keeping my foot in the environmental world! While my work brings me to new sectors of nonprofits, environmental conservation and EE organizations are still near and dear.
