ecoRI News is dedicated to reporting on environmental and social justice issues in southern New England. Through their reporting, they create a more informed public and provide individuals with the information they need to be better stewards of their environment. They are a professionally staffed, nonprofit, web-based news agency with a robust public service and outreach component. ecoRI News focuses on educating readers about the causes, consequences, and solutions to environmental and social justice issues that impact Rhode Island and Massachusetts. They accomplish their mission in separate but linked ways: investigative reporting, community journalism, educational programs, public outreach, green consulting, and compostable food-scrap collection.
