🌟 RIEEA Member Spotlight: Stormwater Innovation Center🌟

Have you checked out the Watershed Walk, a new public art and signage installation at Roger Williams Park highlighting our local watershed and ecosystem? Save the date! On October 27 from 1:00-3:00 pm, join the Stormwater Innovation Center for a relaxed 3.2 mile walk and explore the Watershed Walk signs throughout the park! Learn about our local watershed and discover some of the stories and science behind the signs!

The Roger Williams Park Watershed Walk is a collaborative project between the Stormwater Innovation Center, the City of Providence Parks Department, and the Rhode Island community. In 2015, community members shared stories and artwork inspired by the park’s ecosystem. These contributions were combined with history and science to create six interpretive signs placed along park trails, as well as a digital archive featuring additional resources and submissions on the Stormwater Innovation Center’s website.

This project was made possible through support from the City of Providence Parks Department and the Narragansett Bay Estuary Program with funds from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s Southeast New England Program.
