Join RIEEA on Tuesday, February 10, from 6:00-7:30pm for Lobbying 101, a practical, beginner-friendly Zoom workshop for anyone interested in helping advance environmental education legislation in Rhode Island. We’ll break down what advocacy and lobbying really mean, what you can and can’t do if you are representing a nonprofit organization, and how to engage legislators with confidence – because they’re not as intimidating as they seem! You’ll also learn how to tailor your message, share testimony, and navigate advocacy within your organization.
The session will be interactive, with plenty of time for questions and discussion throughout. We’re thrilled that our presenter is RIEEA Board Member Robyn Linde, Professor of Political Science and Director of the International Nongovernmental and Nonprofit Organizations Studies program at Rhode Island College.
