Save the Date! Our 2027 Summit will be on March 13 and will feature a keynote presentation from Mara Freilich, assistant professor in Applied Mathematics and Earth, Environmental, and Planetary Sciences at Brown University.
Mara’s presentation, Bridging Science and Action: Community-Led Environmental Science and Education, will explore developing community science initiatives including hands-on methods and co-development of environmental monitoring with community-based organizations. She will specifically discuss her work with Port of Providence residents, People’s Port Authority, and an interdisciplinary research team in the WaterSpeak project.
