Looking for tools to empower young people to become the next generation of environmental leaders through authentic partnerships and real-world civic action?

Young people who have civic experiences during their formative years are much more likely to engage civically as adults. Earth Force, a national nonprofit and the home of Environmental Action Civics, has been training organizations and educators in building authentic youth-adult partnerships for over 30 years. In the growing field of Environmental Action Civics, students share power with adults through Youth-Adult Partnership, practice democratic decision making, and address local environmental problems with community level change.

Join us to learn how you can ignite a new generation of environmental decision makers in partnership with young people. In this workshop, you will gain foundational tools in Environmental Action Civics including the “3 Essential Experiences” and resources to facilitate the 6-Step Earth Force Process to guide youth in taking civic action on environmental issues in their communities.

The Rhode Island Environmental Education Association presents this event as part of the Youth Leadership for a Sustainable Future workshop series.
