On a national level:
RiEEA continues working closely with the No Child Left Inside Coalition & the North American Association of Environmental Education (
NAAEE) to advocate for the passage of No Child Left Inside legislation and other federal projects that will benefit children and the environment.
On a state level:
We continue working with RIDE to implement an Environmental Literacy Plan for Rhode Island that will weave environmental education through public school curricula and enable our state to take advantage of federal funding from No Child Left Inside legislation.
Expand our library of “best practices” in RI environmental education
Get an environmental education database up and running on the RIEEA website
Advocate for a Coalition for Children in Nature executive order that will bring all the state departments and organizations doing great work for children and the environment together so we can share information and leverage resources
On a organizational level:
We are growing! RIEEA has begun our strategic planning process.
RIEEA is working on improving and expanding our website & marketing materials
